The OutputChan0 setting on the Config Screen is not selecting pins or bits. Rather it is selecting which Step/Dir hardware generator to be used which in turn is associated with specific Pins. Maybe this will help:
But Yes - OutputChan0=4 will drive Output bits 36 and 37 in open collector mode.

Hello Tom,
Thanks that diagram is excellent, sorry for not taking a better look.
On power up now the kflop thinks every axis is encoder and my position counters go crazy.
Thats not a real big deal as nothing is actually hooked up to them.
I am having an issue where once I enable the axis channel 0 I can no longer manipulate the bits 36 and 37 in the digital IO screen.
thoughts...?

Looks like there was another axis channel that was using generator 4.
Reconfigured other channels and works well.
